This Course aims to help students enjoy the process of tackling reading passages and to guide them towards scoring well in tests and examinations.
The examination format of multiple choice and open-ended questions is followed in all the practice exercises. There are inferential questions noted by asterisks ( ) for each passage and they provide practice for students to improve their comprehension skills.
There is a vocabulary section for each of the practice papers. This section provides the meanings of some of the difficult words in the passages. Generally, the words are explained according to the way they are used in the passage.
The additional comprehension passages at the end of the Course aim to increase students’ interest in doing comprehension. Students can follow the clues(提示) given throughout the passage to guess what happened
or to find out the ending of the passage.
